L4V Hook Deadlocks
L4V hook deadlocks are an upgrade for front and side van doors, as well as tailgates and doors to the cab. They are not tied to the manufacturer's locking system and secured with a high-security key.
Specially designed to ward off 'peel and steal' attacks this product has been tested independently increasing resistance by up to 300 percent. It is ideal for multi-drop couriers or applications where the driver may not lock the vehicle's door.
Hook Deadlock
A hook deadlock is a lock that can be installed on the door of a vehicle. It works independently of the locking mechanism. It is operated with keys and provides an additional layer of security to stop "Peel and Steal". These locks are reasonably priced and can make your van less attractive to criminals. They aren't foolproof and should be paired with other van security products such as Anti Peel brackets.
Each lock is a specialised version of the traditional deadlocks and is designed to be compatible with the specific make and model of the vehicles doors. They function by putting a hook-style bolt into a bracket that is attached to the bodywork of the vehicle. The bolt catches and hooks onto the bracket, which prevents it being twisted or peeled. This offers a decent degree of protection against the majority of burglaries on vans.
They are easy to install and can be fitted to both cab doors and rear loading areas. They also look better than externally fitted van locks, with a neat euro-cylinder on the outside and an escutcheon that surrounds it.
Unlike a slam lock which is a quick release device these locks can be left in deadlock mode, making it more difficult for thieves to take your tools and goods. Deadlocks are more suited to people who do not need to access their van often and need an extra level of security.
These are the most popular of our hook locks. They are usually installed on cab and back doors. These locks are a great option to safeguard your valuables and tools from theft. They can also be used in conjunction with other van security items such as anti-peel brackets. Our fitters are insured and certified. We offer a nationwide installation service. Slam Lock
A Slam lock is a modern van security solution which ensures that your doors to your vehicle are secured immediately after they close. The slam lock prevents van thieves who are savvy to take advantage of any mistake made by drivers who forget to shut their van doors manually in an ephemeral manner. It also acts as a deterrent for criminals who might be looking to commit.
A commercial slam lock functions by connecting to your van's manufacturer's locks, which automatically lock the door each time it is shut. This is a great choice for couriers or multi-drop drivers who are often traveling and have a lot to do. It saves them from the need to use keys to lock their vehicle every time.
After installing a slamlock, you just need to press the handle, which will turn off and shut the door. Then, you can open the door with your key, which means you can keep your belongings and tools secure while you're working. However, if you are seeking the best in van security, then you should consider a deadlock as well. They offer a higher level of security, since they are more difficult to open and require more physical effort to open.
Both locks have their benefits, but the best one for you will be determined by how you will be using your vehicle. A slam lock is perfect for those who regularly use the back of their vehicles, like couriers and multi-drop drivers and are more concerned with the security of their belongings when on the go. A deadlock on the other hand is ideal for those who are more likely to leave their vehicle parked overnight and need a reliable lock to ensure their security.
Garrison Locks stocks a wide assortment of deadlocks as well as slam locks for all van models and brands. Our team of experts can assist you in selecting the best van security for your requirements Contact us today to find out more.
Statement Lock
The lock is designed to be installed externally on the doors of commercial vehicles (trucks & vans) giving an obvious deterrent as well as an additional security. It can be used together with other anti-theft devices, and works independently of the manufacturer's locking system.
The LOCK TABLE command creates shared locks on all tables mentioned in the table specification. If a viewtable is specified and the lock is created, it creates shared locking on all basetables which are under the viewtable. The LOCK TABLE command can be used to lock all tables within databases, a specific table, or a specific row in a table. If only one row is specified prior to the table's name only the table that is specified is locked. If you specify a row_spec> is set and only the row in the table that is indicated by the key values or location in a results table is locked.
A ROW EXCLUSIVE lock blocks concurrent data modifications from modifying or deleting rows within tables. This lock mode can be obtained through UPDATE and deletion statements as well as INSERT, Merge, and Vacuum statements. It is also acquired by ANALYZE CREATE INDEX CONCURRENTLY and certain ALTER TABLE and VIEW statements.
When a ROW EXCLUSIVE lock is held the updates and deletes must complete before the owner of the lock releases the lock. This prevents deadlocks between concurrent sessions that alter a row.
If a transaction uses an exclusive lock mode, and another session tries to update the same rows, the first transaction will encounter an error message that states the key is duplicate. The other session has to wait until the current transaction commits or rolls back, and then can obtain a ROW SHARE lock on the row to continue the process.
ROW SHARED lock mode is obtained by UPDATE, INSERT DELETE, MERGE statements. This lock mode is also obtained by ANALYZE statements CREATE statistis, COMMENTING ON. This lock mode shields the table from changes to the schema concurrently or VACUUM runs.

The LOCK TABLE WITH HOLD clause enables you to create an execution lock for an individual procedure for a certain amount of time. If another program attempts to run the same procedure on the same connection, the program is stopped until the lock on execution is released.
Anti Peel Kit
The 'peel-and-steal' attack is now a popular method for thieves to gain access to vans. They employ force to pry open the side doors. This kind of crime involves the use of pressure and weight to weak points in the door of your van to remove it. This allows them access to tools and equipment stored within the cargo area. There are solutions for this issue, like the L4V Anti-Peel Kit. This armoured bracket increases the resistance of your side-load door to this kind of attack. Independent testing has demonstrated that it can increase the strength of your van door by up to 300%.
Made to be able to be fitted easily and securely to the door skin of your van The anti-peel kits are manufactured from durable materials that can withstand repeated attacks. They can be used either as a standalone security measure or as a complement to other security measures, for instance hook locks. When combined the physical security provided by the anti-peel kit and the added protection of a hook lock make it difficult for criminals to break into your van.
A new variation of this product is the L4V Anti-Peel and High Hook Lock Combination, which offers both the anti-peel plate and a high-mounted hook lock in one. It is an excellent solution to lower the chance that vans will be stolen through 'peel-and-steal' robbery attacks.
